Chad Hilkemeier is the President of Unkefer & Associates, an Amerilife Company. Chad, who has been in the insurance industry for over 26 years and with the Unkefer & Associates for over 16 years, works closely with insurance carrier, agent and sub-wholesaling partners. The Unkefer & Associates team, headquartered in Phoenix, offers best-in-class service and opportunities for independent insurance agents who assist pre-retirees and retirees with safe growth and income planning strategies and wealth transfer options through the use of fixed annuities and life insurance solutions. In his spare time, Chad enjoys golf, woodworking and spending time with his wife, Kim, and their three daughters.
Gregg is the Executive Vice President. In this position he coordinates and manages the technical direction of the company. He is the creative genius and architect of our agent support platform, SuperAgentTools. Gregg’s artistic vision and marketing knowledge combine to offer top producers access to high impact marketing. Gregg’s direction of the technology and creative team has led to the development of new logos and websites, along with video and audio messaging that set our agents apart and allow them to clearly communicate a compelling message to their community.
Bio: With a background including field experience, agency building, advanced case design and agent support, Chris focuses on facilitating the advancement of our agents’ practices while setting realistic expectations. Possessing the ability to understand our industry from both sides of the producer/IMO relationship, Chris is dedicated to promoting a partnership built by integrity and sustained by success.
Roles/Responsibility: The New Business Specialist position is intensely focused on service of our agents. Agents can expect to receive case consultation services (including detailed illustrations where applicable) and product recommendations on the broad array of products we offer including fixed annuities, life insurance and final expense. In addition to pre-sale support, the New Business Specialist will act as a liaison between agents and insurance carriers related to special case circumstances, outstanding/pending requirements and general new business tracking.
Bio: Jeff has over 26 years experience in sales and sales management and has vast experience in individual and group sales training and mentoring. His main focus is on agent communication and education with an additional focus on goal setting and implementation.
Roles/Responsibility: As the leader of a team consisting of New Business Specialists and Agency Development Managers, the Senior Vice President of Agent Experience coordinates the efforts of the team ensuring our agents are professionally served with effective and timely communication and dependable information. Additionally, the Senior VP of Agent Experience is in regular contact with our agents regarding educational opportunities and coaching in areas of prospecting, presenting concepts and products, and closing more sales.

Bio: Jake has a B.S. in Business Management, is Life and Annuity licensed and has field sales experience. He also has broad experience in marketing and finance and has helped improve several operational processes at Unkefer & Associates.
Roles/Responsibility: The Vice President of Business Development insures our agents are fully connected with the services, promotions, programs and offerings of the company and assists agents in utilizing their marketing resources in the most effective manner possible. Additionally, Agency Development Managers assist Licensing in the contracting and connecting of agents with the insurance companies we represent.
Bio: Sherman is dedicated to the success of each agent he talks with and works to ensure they have every resource at their disposal within our company. Sherman’s 19 years of sales, management and marketing experience make him an excellent leader in the organization.

Roles/Responsibility: As our Vice President of Finance, Susan brings to the company a unique blend of talents and experiences. Susan has over 25-years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. As a former business owner, she works in tandem with management to assist in operating more effectively and efficiently. Susan’s main focus includes overseeing all aspects of the accounting and financial sectors within the company. Additionally, Susan assists Mr. Unkefer with a wide variety of administrative functions including assisting in the planning of agent events, and incentive trips.
Roles/Responsibility: Debbie works very closely with our Vice President of Finance in the areas of data management and accounting. Her work is essential to the tracking of agent production that ultimately is available in our agent support platform, SuperAgentTools.

Roles/Responsibility: Judy’s years of experience as an Executive Assistant and Legal Secretary have prepared her to be a valuable asset to the company in many different areas. Judy’s primary responsibility is receptionist however she does assist our Licensing/Contracting Department as needed and helps with travel coordination.
Bio: Heather has an Associate degree in Communication.
Roles/Responsibility: The Agent Services Coordinator (ASC) is mainly responsible for assisting the Agent Experience Team with new business pending items. This includes notifying agents of pending requirements, sending pending requirements to carriers, and calling carriers and visiting carrier websites for status updates for agents. The ASC is also responsible for emailing and/or ordering supplies and forms for agents, as well as, maintaining office supplies for the Unkefer & Associates staff. In addition, the position also includes checking submitted contracts and production entered into SAT for accuracy.
